Jeff Lindsey, Executive Director/President

Contact: jlindsey@boundaryambulance.org

Jeff brings 25 years of full-time EMS experience, many of those as a paramedic. He started with BAS in 2015 as the Deputy Chief/paramedic. During this time Jeff was instrumental in overseeing ALS licensure at the 911 level. Jeff was promoted to Chief in 2016. Since then he has worked hard to move BAS from volunteer to paid agency, implementation of rank/structure and doubling the amount of ALS staff to 6 full-time paramedics. As a Community Paramedic (CP) himself, he was passionate about a CP program in Boundary County. In 2017 Jeff worked cooperatively with the Idaho EMS Bureau to secure CP education grants for three current paramedics. He is excited to see how BAS has truly become woven into the fabric of this great community.

John Minden, Clinical Captain

Contact: jminden@boundaryambulance.org

A lifetime (nearly) resident of Boundary County I became interested in emergency services at a young age. I started first volunteering in the fire service and then enrolled in an EMT-B class that was being offered locally. After turning 18 I was able to take the exams and obtain my first medical licensure. In 2012 I decided to change career paths by moving into emergency services full time. This lead to my first college level classes and I ultimately completing my AAS degree in paramedicine. After graduation I returned to work with Boundary Ambulance and I’m proud of how our service has grown and I’m glad to be a part of it.

Ben Dowdy, Training Captain

Contact: bdowdy@boundaryambulance.org

Ben joined BAS in 2020. A native of Kentucky, he began his EMS career in 2003 as an EMT, later becoming a paramedic in 2007 and receiving his B.S. in Emergency Medical Care from Eastern Kentucky University in 2009. Ben’s clinical experience has spanned a wide variety of areas; working in urban/suburban/rural EMS agencies, working in wilderness medicine with SAR teams and the National Park Service, and time spent as a tactical paramedic and flight/critical care paramedic.

A passionate EMS educator as well, Ben has been a lead instructor for Wilderness Medical Associates since 2008 and taught wilderness medicine to hundreds of outdoor enthusiasts across the US and abroad. He served as faculty at Eastern Kentucky University’s Paramedic Sciences program, teaching EMT and paramedic students, and has both presented at SAR and EMS state conferences and been published in EMS journals. He currently also works at CPR Central, teaching first aid, CPR and resuscitation to everyone from babysitters to physicians.
